Psalm 104:19 states, “He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows it’s time for setting.” We can view God’s handiwork in the natural rhythms of the seasons and the celestial bodies that govern them. God is the Creator who established the order of the universe,
including the cycles of day and night and the changing seasons, which are essential to life on earth.

Through Psalm 104, we recognize God’s sovereignty over creation. He appointed the moon and the sun to guide the passage of time. The moon’s phases help mark the seasons, influencing tides, weather patterns, and the natural world. The sun’s predictable rising and setting dictate the rhythm of daily life and the transitions between seasons. These celestial patterns remind us of God’s constant and reliable presence and His meticulous design in creation.
Psalm 104:19 encourages us to see God’s character reflected in the seasons—his faithfulness in the regularity of the sun’s journey across the sky, his creativity in the diversity of seasons, and his providence in the way these natural cycles sustain life. As we observe the changing seasons, from the blossoming of spring to the harvest of autumn, we can be reminded of God’s care and attention to detail in all aspects of his creation.
In the seasons, we see a glimpse of his eternal nature, guiding and sustaining all things according to His perfect timing. (CHRISTANITY.Com)
