But you dear friends!

Jude 20-21 (NASB)

But you, beloved, are building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keeping yourselves in the love of God, and looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

God keep believers in His love (see Romans 8:35-39) and enables them to keep themselves in His love.  Paul emphasized that suffering unites believers with Christ rather than separating them, guiding them to their goal.
