Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried
out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Jn.7:37
People will never desire to be found unless they realize they are lost. Unless one is conscious of a great spiritual lack in their lives, they will never want to go to the Lord to have that need supplied. The Saviour invited the thirsting soul to come to Him – not to the Church, the preacher, water baptism or the Lord’s Table. It means to trust Him as Lord. It means to take Him in our lives as we would take a glass of water into our bodies.
