Finally Home

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in Me. In my Father’s House are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am. John 14:1-2-3.

One of the best-loved chapters in all the Bible, the one that goes with us as we near the valley of the shadow. This is one of the Scriptures that is helping me to cope with my daily living since my beloved Charles went home to be with the Lord six months ago knowing I will see him again when my time comes. Jesus’ Words show that the way to eternal life, though unseen, is as secure as your trust in Jesus. He has already prepared the way to eternal life.

When engulfed by the terror of the tempestuous sea, Unknown waves before you roll; At the end of doubt and peril is eternity, Though fear and conflict seize your soul. But just think of stepping on shore-And finding it Heaven! Of touching a hand and finding it God's! Of breathing new air and finding it celestial! Of waking up in glory-And finding it home! When surrounded by the blackness of the darkest night, O how lonely death can be; At the end of this long tunnel is a shining light, For death is swallowed up in victory!
