2 Kings 18:3

I“NE-HUSH-TAN” sounds like the Hebrews for both bronze and snake

MOSES – Numbers 21:4-9

The Bronze Snake 4 They traveled from Mount Hor along the route to the Red Sea, to go around Edom. But the people grew impatient on the way; 5 they spoke against God and Moses, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!” 6 Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people, and many Israelites died. 7 The people came to Moses and said, “We sinned when we spoke against the Lord and you. Pray that the Lord will take the snakes away from us.” So, Moses prayed for the people. 8 The Lord told Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then they lived when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake.

HEZEKIAH 2 Kings18:3-5

He (Hezekiah) did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father David had done. 4 He removed the high places, smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles. He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called Nehushtan.)

JESUS John 3:14-15

Just as Moses lifted the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in Him.”

JESUS John 12:31-33

31 Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. 32 And I, when I am lifted from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” 33 He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.

GIDEON- Judges 8:22-27

Gideon’s Ephod: 22 The Israelites said to Gideon, “Rule over us—you, your son and your grandson—because you have saved us from the hand of Midian.” 23 But Gideon told them, “I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. The Lord will rule over you.” 24 And he said, “I do have one request, that each of you give me an earring from your share of the plunder.” (It was the custom of the Ishmaelites to wear gold earrings.) 25 They answered, “We’ll be glad to give them.” So, they spread out a garment, and each of them threw a ring from his plunder onto it. 26 The weight of the gold rings he asked for came to seventeen hundred shekels, not counting the

Ornaments, the pendants and the purple garments worn by the kings of Midian or the chains that were on their camels’ necks. 27 Gideon made the gold into an ephod, which he placed in Ophrah, his town. All of Israel prostituted themselves by worshiping it there, and it became a snare to Gideon and his family.
