Life is so brief!

“Surely everyone goes around like a mere phantom, in vain they rush about, heaping up wealth without knowing where it will finally be”. Psalm 39:6

The brevity of life is a theme throughout the books of Psalms, Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. Jesus also spoke about it (Luke 12:20).

It is ironic that people spend much time securing their lives on earth and take little or no thought about where they will spend eternity. David realized that amassing riches and busily accomplishing worldly tasks would make no difference in eternity. Not many people understand that their only HOPE is in the Lord.
