Remember the Poor (Gal.2:10) - Christian Tradition & Principle

- For the poor will not cease to exist in the land; therefore I am commanding you, saying, ‘You shall fully open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.’ Deut.5:11

- I was hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick, imprisoned, poor, widow, orphan .. ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’ Mt.25:34-36. 

- Give to the poor you will have treasure in heaven. Mt.19:21. 

- For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me. Mt.26:11. 

- Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you in return.” Lk.6:38. 

- invite people who are poor, who have disabilities, who are limping, and people who are blind; and you will be blessed since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” Lk.14:13-14
